ABC Family Therapy exists to provide counseling within the Greater Seattle and Anchorage AK areas. Our counselors are both competent
and caring. The realm of Adventure-Based Counseling is well supported by clinical research (as are other modes) and is particularly
suited to our staff of trained adventure based counselors. ABC Family Therapy provides counseling via adventure based counseling
sessions, workshops, weekend, and week-long adventure sessions; as well as more 'traditional' counseling sessions. DB provides
Educational Consulting for families seeking educational placements for teens in need of: college prep academies, boarding schools,
therapeutic boarding schools, residential treatment, and wilderness therapy. DB does NOT support boot camp programs. Greta provides
personal training and fitness coaching, to include nutritional awareness. Adventure Based Counseling & Family Therapy is based on
Cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical therapy, existential therapy, and family therapy models, including Christian and existential
counseling modalities.

| Adventure Based Counseling & Family Therapy's Adventure-Based Workshops Our adventure based trips offer individuals, groups, and families a change of pace as well as place. Work together on adventurous tasks and come away with some amazing pictures, too. ABC Family Therapy works exclusively with small groups. |
| Practitioner Training For practitioners and students within the greater counseling psychology field, we offer regular trainings for both ABC and Active Sessions work. NOTE: Following the recent Counseling Today article featuring DB Palmer of ABC Family Therapy, we have received a large number of requests for training. In order to meet this need, we are paying careful attention to our current work-loads and capabilities. We hope to hear from you and we'll set up trainings as soon as we can.
